Bass Books

There's a wealth of books out there for the would be bass player - far more than when I was learning. Back in the day about the only books out there for bassists were the Carole Kaye books - which you'll see a lot of bass players refer to in interviews (eg Sting, Oteil Burbridge, David Hungate etc) - and about nothing else!

I just typed 'Bass Guitar' into the book section of Amazon.com and the search returned over 8000 results! So how do you separate the must-have from the must-not-buy?

As with all things like this a combination of gut feeling, reviews, recommendations from friends etc help bass players decide what to buy.

I've bought my fair share of books down the years - and still buy on a semi-regular basis - and so I decided I was gonna review some of them.
